This is a wonderful short story about a Detective that specializes in weird and unusual cases. The beautiful cover illustration and title caught my attention. It reminded me of a Hansel and Gretel theme. I immediately thought it would be an interesting bed time read for my niece and nephew but I throughly enjoyed it myself! The pages are wonderfully illustrated with large font and the choice of words are awesome. This looks like the first book in a series and the next is: Where Did Mr. Kreech’s Cows Go? Can’t wait to see how Detective Nick solves this next mystery!

I purchased this book as a gift for my niece who is 7 years old and she absolutely loved it, the vocabulary and layout of the book is well suited for her to read but still provides enough of a challenge that it isn’t too easy for her to read. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a unique kids book.
